Notes

  • Six progressive brackets for 2025: 0.25%, 0.75%, 1.75%, 2.75%, 3.75% and a 4.75% top rate. Single and married-filing-separately share one schedule; married-filing-jointly and head of household share another whose thresholds are roughly double, so the 4.75% top rate starts at $7,200 (single) versus $14,400 (joint/HoH).
  • Oklahoma grants BOTH a standard (or itemized) deduction AND a $1,000-per-exemption deduction. Standard deduction (frozen since 2017): $6,350 single/MFS, $12,700 joint, $9,350 head of household. Exemptions of $1,000 each are claimed for the taxpayer, spouse (if filing jointly), and each dependent, and subtracted from income on top of the deduction.
  • Oklahoma itemized deductions are capped at $17,000, EXCEPT charitable contributions and medical expenses, which are not subject to the cap; state/local sales or income tax is added back and is NOT deductible. This module applies the cap to mortgage interest + property tax and adds charitable + other (medical/claim-of-right) uncapped.
  • The tax base is FEDERAL AGI (Oklahoma AGI before Schedule 511-A/511-B adjustments). Oklahoma additions/subtractions — retirement-income and capital-gain exclusions, out-of-state income, etc. — are not modelled, matching the other state modules.
  • Not modelled: the additional 65-or-older / blind exemptions, the Oklahoma Child Care/Child Tax Credit, the earned-income credit, the sales-tax relief credit, and other state credits, because the shared input lacks the fields they require.
